Accessibility Statement

What does this page provide?

Accessibility measures implemented on our site, known limitations and the feedback process for visitors who experience access difficulties.

Kılıç Kurumsal Danışmanlık A.Ş. considers it important that its website is usable by everyone, including users with disabilities. This statement explains the accessibility measures implemented on the site, known limitations and the feedback process.

A. Accessibility Measures Implemented

1. Keyboard Navigation

All links, buttons, form fields, drop-down menus and pop-up windows on the site can be operated using only a keyboard. Each focused element is marked with a clearly visible outline that contrasts with the background, ensuring that users can always see where they are on the page.

A “Skip to content” link is provided at the beginning of every page. Keyboard users can use this link to bypass the top menu and go directly to the page content. Pop-up windows can be closed with the Esc key, and focus is moved inside the window when it opens.

2. Meaningful Structure and Heading Hierarchy

Each page has a single main heading (H1), with subheadings used in sequential order. The menu, main content and footer are marked as separate regions. Visitors using screen readers can navigate the page structure through the list of headings.

3. Link and Button Text

Link text describes its destination. Instead of context-free phrases such as “Click here”, descriptive text such as “View legal content at Kılıç Hukuk” or “Submit a training request” is used. Buttons containing only icons also have descriptions defined for screen readers.

4. Alternative Text for Images

Images that convey information include descriptive alternative text. Images and background patterns used solely for decoration are marked so that screen readers skip them.

5. Forms and Error Notifications

Each form field has a visible label, and required fields are clearly indicated. Incomplete or incorrectly completed fields are marked both by colour and a written explanation, focus is moved to the first field containing an error, and the error is immediately announced to screen readers. Error messages do not rely on colour alone.

6. Colour and Readability

Sufficient contrast is maintained between text and background colours. Body text is displayed at a minimum size of 17 pixels with generous line spacing. Information is never conveyed solely through colour; colour is always accompanied by text or an icon.

7. Motion and Animation

Page transitions and appearance effects are used in moderation. Animations are disabled for visitors who have enabled the “reduce motion” preference in their operating system. Automatically advancing sections pause when hovered over with a mouse or focused using a keyboard; they can also be controlled manually using the forward and back buttons.

8. Text Size and Screen Compatibility

The page layout adapts to browser zoom and increases in text size; content does not disappear or overlap. The design has been tested separately on phone, tablet and desktop screens. Wide tables can be scrolled horizontally within their own area without causing the entire page to scroll sideways.

9. Cookie Preferences

The cookie preference panel can be operated using a keyboard. Visitors are not offered only an “accept all” option; options to continue with essential cookies and to set preferences individually are presented with equal visibility. Consent can be withdrawn at any time through the link in the footer.

B. Conformance Status

The site has been developed with consideration for the WCAG 2.1 AA criteria. Rather than claiming full conformance, a continuous improvement approach has been adopted: every newly published page and section is reviewed against the same criteria.

C. Known Limitations

Improvement work is ongoing in the following areas:

  • The accessibility of video and broadcast content from external sources is the responsibility of the relevant platforms (ihale.tv, Kılıç Akademi); this content is displayed on our site only as a title and link.
  • The accessibility of documents uploaded through the panel (PDF and similar formats) depends on the formatting applied by the party that prepared the document.
  • Alternative text and heading structures in older content are being reviewed.

D. Feedback and Contact

If you experience difficulty accessing any part of the site or notice an accessibility issue, please inform us. Providing the page address, the difficulty you encountered and the assistive technology you use in your notification will help expedite the resolution.

You can submit your enquiries through the general contact form in the “Contact” section of our site. Your request will be reviewed and a response will be provided within a reasonable period. If you need content that is not accessible, an alternative method will be provided to present the same information in an accessible format.

E. Updates to the Statement

This statement is reviewed in line with improvements made to the site. As new sections and pages are published, the accessibility criteria are reassessed and this text is updated.
